Location Link Acceptable Use Policy
This Acceptable Use Policy applies whenever you use the Location Link Wi-Fi network.
It forms part of the Location Link Terms of Service.
1. Use the network lawfully
You must not use Location Link Wi-Fi for any activity that is unlawful or that encourages, assists or facilitates unlawful activity.
2. Security and unauthorised access
You must not use the network to:
- gain unauthorised access to systems, accounts or devices;
- attempt to bypass passwords, firewalls or security controls;
- scan, probe or test systems without permission;
- interfere with the operation of another device or network;
- distribute malware, ransomware, viruses or harmful code;
- attempt to disrupt or overload the Location Link network.
3. Fraud and deception
You must not use the service for fraud, impersonation, phishing, scams or other deceptive activity.
4. Spam and abusive communications
You must not use the network to send excessive unsolicited messages, spam, threats, harassment or abusive communications.
5. Illegal or infringing content
You must not knowingly use the network to obtain, distribute or make available content where doing so would be unlawful.
This includes unlawful infringement of copyright, intellectual property rights or other legal rights.
6. Network fairness
Location Link is a shared wireless service.
You must not deliberately use the network in a way that materially prevents or seriously degrades access for other customers.
Location Link may take reasonable technical steps to protect network performance, security and availability.
7. Access codes and authentication
You must not:
- tamper with or alter access credentials;
- fraudulently obtain access codes;
- attempt to bypass payment or authentication;
- use another customer's credentials without permission;
- sell or redistribute Location Link access without authorisation.
8. Devices
You are responsible for the security and lawful use of any device you connect to the Location Link network.
Devices that pose a security risk or materially interfere with the network may be disconnected.
9. Enforcement
If Location Link reasonably believes this policy has been breached, access may be restricted, suspended or terminated.
Serious incidents may be reported to law enforcement, regulators or other appropriate authorities where required or permitted by law.
10. Monitoring and investigation
Location Link may use reasonable technical logs and network information to operate the service, investigate faults, protect security and investigate suspected misuse.
Personal data will be handled in accordance with the Location Link Privacy Notice.
