Location Link Privacy Notice
This Privacy Notice explains how Location Link collects, uses and protects personal information when you use the Location Link Wi-Fi service, customer portal and related services.

2. Information we may collect
Depending on how you use the service, Location Link may process:
- your email address;
- payment and transaction references;
- the Wi-Fi package you purchase;
- voucher or access-code information;
- connection and session information;
- device IP addresses;
- device MAC addresses or similar network identifiers;
- connection times and session duration;
- technical information used to diagnose faults;
- security and network logs;
- communications you send to Location Link.
Location Link does not normally receive or store your full payment-card details. Card information entered during payment is processed by Stripe.
3. Why we use this information
Location Link may use personal information to:
- provide the Wi-Fi service you purchase;
- create and manage access credentials;
- confirm and record payments;
- operate and maintain the network;
- identify active sessions and connected devices;
- investigate faults and service interruptions;
- protect the network against fraud, misuse and security threats;
- respond to customer enquiries and complaints;
- maintain appropriate business and accounting records;
- comply with legal and regulatory obligations.
4. Our lawful bases
Depending on the activity, Location Link may process personal information because:
- it is necessary to perform a contract with you, such as supplying the Wi-Fi access you purchase;
- it is necessary for Location Link's legitimate interests, such as operating, securing, troubleshooting and improving the network, where those interests are not overridden by your rights and interests;
- it is necessary to comply with a legal obligation;
- you have provided consent where consent is specifically required.
5. Payment processing
Payments are processed by Stripe.
Location Link may receive information from Stripe such as transaction status, payment references, amount paid and customer contact information associated with the payment.
Stripe processes payment information under its own privacy terms and policies.
6. Who we may share information with
Where necessary, personal information may be shared with:
- payment processors such as Stripe;
- hosting, infrastructure and technology providers;
- professional advisers such as accountants or legal advisers;
- law enforcement, regulators or public authorities where disclosure is required or permitted by law;
- service providers assisting Location Link with legitimate business operations.
Location Link does not sell customer personal information.
7. How long we keep information
Location Link keeps personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected.
Our normal retention periods are:
- Wi-Fi session information, including device IP addresses, MAC addresses, voucher details and connection information: up to 90 days.
- Network security and fault-diagnostic logs: up to 90 days, unless the information is required for an active security investigation, dispute or legal matter.
- Failed or unpaid checkout records: up to 30 days, unless they are required for fraud, payment or security investigations.
- Customer-support correspondence: up to 12 months after the enquiry or complaint has been resolved, unless a longer period is reasonably required.
- Payment, transaction and accounting records: up to 6 years where required for accounting, tax, legal or business-record purposes.
Information may be retained for longer where this is reasonably necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims, investigate fraud or security incidents, resolve a dispute, or comply with a legal obligation.
When information is no longer required, Location Link will delete it or anonymise it where appropriate.
8. Network and security logs
Location Link may keep technical logs relating to network connections, devices, access credentials and system events.
These logs may be used to operate the network, investigate faults, prevent abuse, protect customers and maintain security.
9. International processing
Some service providers used by Location Link may process information outside the United Kingdom.
Where personal information is transferred internationally, appropriate safeguards will be used where required by applicable data-protection law.
10. Your rights
Depending on the circumstances and the lawful basis being relied upon, you may have rights including:
- the right to be informed about how your data is used;
- the right to request access to your personal information;
- the right to request correction of inaccurate information;
- the right to request erasure in certain circumstances;
- the right to request restriction of processing;
- the right to object to certain processing;
- the right to data portability where applicable;
